The scene holds exactly one three.js Points object — a single vertex drawn with a PointsMaterial at a fixed screen size. An auto-rotating OrbitControls camera swings around it while the scene itself keeps tilting on its X axis, so the point sweeps a Lissajous figure across the viewport. One second after load the renderer’s autoClear flag is flipped off and preserveDrawingBuffer is on, so nothing is ever erased: each frame paints the dot on top of the previous frame and the trail slowly draws itself.
